28/06/2010 Barking Road - Royal Opening

The Turnaround Centre in Barking Road, Newham received Royal Consent recently with the opening of the premises by His Royal Highness, the Duke Of Gloucester on 29th April. The event was attended by all involved in the project and the Duke was shown around the scheme by Canon Ann Easter, who is Chair of The Trustees.

The picture shows Malcolm Avery shaking hands with the Duke upon his arrival, and briefly describing the project. The Duke unveiled a plaque to commemorate the Royal Opening.

26/04/2010 Architect in the House

PTAL are taking part in Architect in the House, a fundraising initiative between the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) and Shelter that’s now in its 14th year.

The scheme gives people the chance to receive an hour-long consultation on any home or design related query. In return for our help, homeowners are asked to donate a minimum of £40 to support Shelter’s work with people in housing need.

Homeowners can register at www.architectinthehouse.org.uk from 19 April to 4 July 2010.
